A heartfelt thank you for celebrating Lenny’s legacy

Thank you for joining us at the historic Egyptian Theater last Saturday, August 1st, to celebrate the life and legacy of our father, Lenny Wilkens.
Seeing family, teammates, colleagues, and supporters gathered in one room was a powerful reminder of the countless lives he touched. We were truly overwhelmed by the turnout and the beautiful energy of the evening. We are sincerely grateful to everyone who helped make this premiere and panel discussion such a meaningful tribute.

As Randy shared that night, the Lenny Wilkens Foundation continues on. We are committed to carrying forward a legacy rooted in giving back, strengthening community, and believing that children are our future. The goal is to ensure every child and family, especially in greater Seattle and communities where the need is greatest, have access to basic health care and the opportunity to live to their full potential.
It was important to the family, the Foundation, and the creative team that the premiere be free and accessible to the community. We were grateful to share the film and Lenny’s story with all of you.

Rise Above: To honor Lenny, in three days, they served over 800 youth last weekend on the waterfront. They hosted a one-day basketball clinic, tournament, Special Olympics showcase, Little Dribblers Program, and Make-A-Wish event. They shared their thanks to LWF, at the documentary premier, for giving them the platform as this is what Lenny was about; Faith, Family & Community.
Mercurys Coffee Co: Along with their significant contribution up front to get the film off the ground as our title sponsor, Mercurys showed up in a major way. Beyond the delicious espresso martinis, they helped make the evening feel special with custom cookies featuring Keegan Hall’s artwork and a tribute to Lenny’s favorite dessert, tiramisu.
Glassybaby: We were honored to have green and yellow Glassybaby’s lighting up the event. We look forward to sharing more information soon regarding continued collaboration with Glassybaby.
Long Shadows Vintners & Nine Hats: Thank you for providing the wine that kept the conversation flowing throughout the reception.
The Hall: Thank you for stepping in last minute to handle theater concessions and keep things running smoothly.
WFLM: Thank you for your work behind the scenes to keep the evening running smoothly and for handling the over-capacity turnout with such grace. WLFM will be opening the Egyptian Theater in the coming months, so please follow them for more details on that.
