Remembering Coach Lenny Wilkens: A Legacy of Leadership, Compassion, and Community
We are deeply saddened to share the passing of our founder, Coach Lenny Wilkens, who passed away peacefully at the age of 88. A Hall of Famer, Olympic gold medalist, and one of the most respected figures in basketball history, Lenny was also a champion of humanity, dedicating his life to serving others.
Beyond his achievements on the court, Lenny’s true legacy lies in his unwavering commitment to community. Through the Lenny Wilkens Foundation, he worked tirelessly to ensure children and families had access to quality healthcare, education, and opportunities to thrive, most notably through his support of the Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic.
Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the Wilkens family. His vision and generosity will continue to guide our mission for years to come.
If you would like to honor Coach Wilkens and continue the work he began, please consider making a donation in his memory.
