About Our Mission
The Lenny Wilkens Foundation funds organizations that deliver healthcare and education services to young people while honoring their dignity and sense of self-respect. Founders Lenny and Marilyn Wilkens’ commitment to this mission started with their first contribution to the Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic in 1970, and eventually led them to start the Foundation. The entire Wilkens family is passionate about encouraging young people to explore and achieve their full potential, regardless of their circumstances. They believe that:
The primary recipient of funds from the Lenny Wilkens Foundation is the Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic, a community clinic of Children’s Hospital of Seattle. The clinic’s healthcare services include basic medical care, health and lifestyle education, dental care, and mental healthcare.
